Support Underserved Expectant Mothers
As per World Health Organization, “About 830 women die from pregnancy- or childbirth-related complications around the world every day.” The maternal mortality rate is especially high for women living in village and remote areas where they are not likely to receive required healthcare.
There are many underserved women who do not have access to prenatal care and funds towards purchasing medicines. The Asha-Jyothi Youth Volunteers; Sreyas, Asrith, and Anisha are partnering with Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi for a campaign to raise money that would focus on helping underserved expectant mothers as well as students who do not have a place to eat their meals.
The ‘Support Underserved Expectant Mothers Campaign’ with the help of female doctors supporting Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi will take place in Machilipatnam. The goal is to raise a minimum of $2000 towards this cause benefitting 100 underserved pregnant women.
There is a small village near Machilipatnam called Chinnapuram with a school that does not have a place to distribute lunch for students. Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi came up with a requirement for a shelter that will be used to distribute lunch for around 100 underprivileged students. With any additional funds that we collect for this cause, we will channel the funds to reach the minimum goal of $1000 to build the shelter.
Goal is to raise a minimum of $3000 to support pregnant women and to build a shelter for students. We require your support to help us in this path to making their lives healthy and better.
