In our support to fight against the widespread effect of COVID-19, AJ Volunteers have been working 24×7 across India and USA chapters.

Our Response in USA
Virginia, USA
- Total of 3,000 masks donated to Fair Oaks Hospital, Howard University Hospital DC, Veteran Affairs Medical Center and Loudon County Hospital.
- Donated $1,000 to “Curves Stompers” an organization making masks for First Responders
- A your campaign raised $5500 and donated funds for groceries to employees furloughed to tide over the time period before unemployment insurance comes in.
Philadelphia, USA
- Raised close to $10,000 and donated Thousands of Masks and PPE to Local hospitals in Philadelphia
- Partnered with Chester county food bank and provided meals to the needy, we donated $3,000 to this effort.
Seattle, USA
Provided funds for groceries for Furloughed low income employees, we donated $2,000 to this effort.
Our work in India
Lucknow, India
Asha-Jyothi team in Lucknow has been serving between 9500 to 10000 meals per day, using two community kitchens. To date, overall, over 150,000 meals will have been served.
Hyderabad, India
Asha-Jyothi volunteers collaborated with local police at the start of the curfew to donate cooked food to more than 10,000 people and groceries for a month to over 500 families.
We kick started our efforts by donating 7000 Hand sanitizers to the first responders.
We donated close to 1,000 masks in areas called “Red Zones” for COVID-19
We Donated over 75,000 Meals in 50 different locations in the Greater Hyderabad areas, Day laborer areas, migrant worker areas and slums were served by us. We cooked Food and drove it to those areas and distributed. Many local people added to our funds by donating food supplies.
Guntur, India
In Guntur Asha-Jyothi team was able to cook, pack and distribute meals for close to 2000 people to date
