Bala-Badi (Pre-School) campaign

Project : To support education for two pre schools in the underprivileged area of Vizainagaram managed by Sodhana

About Sodhana and Projects:To address the issue of neglected education for young children in India, whose parents are often preoccupied with fieldwork, Dr. Rao established the Bala-badi (Pre-School) program through the Sodhana Foundation 21 years ago. This program aims to provide hands-on education to young children and has gained recognition from the Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In fact, it has even been adopted by the Government Anganwadi schools.

Currently, the Sodhana Foundation operates and manages approximately 19 pre-schools in various rural villages of Vizianagaram district. The annual cost of running each school amounts to about Rs 1.5 lakhs. Asha jyothi is committed to support two schools with a cost of Rs 3 lakhs/year . The primary goal is to fund Rs 3 lakhs ($3,614) for the year 2023, ensuring the continuity of the foundation’s important work.
