AJ Initiative: Healing Hands led by Manishka Sharma
Hello, my name is Manishka, and I would like to announce a new initiative under the Asha Jyothi umbrella; Healing Hands. This project aims to organize small medical clinic events in rural areas, where we will offer vital health checkups and distribute necessary medications to those in need. The clinics will provide various general health services, including blood sugar testing, eye exams, ear, nose, and throat checkups, and blood pressure measurements. In addition to these services, we plan to distribute educational pamphlets to guide attendees on how to maintain their health in the long term. To enhance the quality of care, we aim to invite specialists whenever possible, broadening the scope of medical services available to these communities.
The importance of this project cannot be overstated. By bringing basic medical services directly to these rural areas, we have the opportunity to address common health issues and prevent minor conditions from escalating into serious ones. Many residents of these underserved communities lack the time or resources to seek regular health checkups, and as a result, their health often goes unattended. This campaign will provide them with access to essential healthcare, allowing them to maintain their health without sacrificing their daily responsibilities or incurring significant costs. Furthermore, through the distribution of educational materials, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of regular health checkups and proactive health management, empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being.
This project is designed to benefit the residents of many underserved villages in India, particularly those who are in the most need of paying attention to their health but do not have the financial means or resources to do so. By focusing our efforts on these communities, we hope to make a meaningful impact on their overall well-being and quality of life.
The estimated cost of organizing one medical clinic event is approximately $3,000. This amount covers a variety of expenses, including meals for the doctors, a generator, setup costs, medications, and other essential supplies. We are committed to maintaining full financial transparency throughout the duration of this program, ensuring that all receipts and expenditures are documented from the very beginning.
Our first medical clinic event is scheduled to take place in a community hall near the villages of Lahuriwan, Dundpur, and Paldevpur. We are currently planning to collaborate with Lucknow Medical College for the provision of doctors, though we remain flexible and are prepared to adjust based on availability. Once this event is successfully completed, we aim to continue these clinics regularly, expanding our reach to impact as many communities as possible.
In conclusion, this project represents a significant opportunity to bring much-needed healthcare services to those who need it most. By providing essential medical care and raising awareness about health maintenance, we hope to improve the overall well-being of these underserved communities. We invite you to join us in making a difference, and we look forward to the positive impact this initiative will have on the lives of so many.
