This design contest held by Asha-Jyothi for the year 2024, is centered around the idea of upcycling an item no longer in use and giving it a new function. Items such as clothing, furniture, wooden pallets, glass jars/bottles, and broken dishes are often upcycled. Let your creative juices flow! You can pick anything to upcycle for this contest.
This contest is open to any 7th to 12th graders in the area. It aligns with AJ’s commitment to sustainability and community service and aims to inspire young people to embrace eco-friendly values.
Prompt: Design a project that transforms an everyday item typically considered junk into something beneficial for the community. Your submission will be evaluated on creativity, visual appeal, practicality, craftsmanship, and a brief written explanation.
